Our services
Our primary healthcare services are delivered across four key locations in Gateshead:
- Community Diagnostic Centre at the Metrocentre – newly opened in October 2024 to enhance diagnostic accessibility.
- Queen Elizabeth Hospital – our main acute hospital providing a wide range of specialist and general healthcare services.
- Bensham Hospital – offering rehabilitation, therapy-led services, and outpatient care.
- Blaydon Urgent Treatment Centre – providing urgent but non-life-threatening care to patients.
Beyond our local services, we provide specialist screening, gynaecology-oncology, pathology, and breast services across a wider geographic footprint, covering parts of the North East, Humberside, Cumbria, and Lancashire. We also operate one of the top ten IVF clinics in the country through the Gateshead Fertility Centre, helping to create hundreds of new families in the North East.
